Basketball Recap: Heritage Christian Takes a Loss

Heritage Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Reimer Road Baptist Christian Golden Eagles 62-34. The matchup was a close 19-17 at the break, but unfortunately for the Patriots it sure didn't stay that way.

Despite the loss, Heritage Christian still got an impressive performance from Joey Fusco, who posted 17 points. That was a full 50% of Heritage Christian's points, marking the third time in a row he's put up more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Anthony Suplita, who earned nine points.

Heritage Christian's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Reimer Road Baptist Christian, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Heritage Christian will take on First Baptist Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Reimer Road Baptist Christian, they will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Fuchs Mizrachi at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
