Baseball Recap: St. Dominic Find Success

St. Dominic won the last time they faced Monsignor McClancy and things went their way on Saturday too. The Bayhawks walked away with a 6-2 win over the Crusaders.

Ray Kim spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on six hits and racked up 11 Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Nick Vitale was excellent, scoring a run and stealing four bases while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances. Tyler Camastro was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

St. Dominic's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Monsignor McClancy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, St. Dominic is taking a road trip to take on St. Anthony's at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Friars' pitching crew has only allowed two runs per game this season, so the Bayhawks' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Monsignor McClancy, they will be playing at home against St. Edmund Prep at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday.
