Bound Brook had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it eight on Saturday. They walked away with a 5-2 victory over the Ridge Red Devil. This was a revenge game for the Crusaders: when they faced off against the Red Devil back in April, they had to take a 10-0 defeat.

Bound Brook pushed their record up to 10-9 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Ridge, their loss dropped their record down to 10-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bound Brook will welcome South River at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Rams have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.81 runs per game on average), something the Crusaders will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Ridge, they will be playing at home against Randolph at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
