Softball Recap: Tolono Unity Wins Going Away Against Paris

Tolono Unity lost to Paris back in April of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Rockets put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 10-1 win. Considering the Rockets have won ten games by more than seven runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Danika Eisenmenger spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up nine Ks.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Reese Frye, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Lindy Bates was another key player, going 2-for-5 with one home run.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Tolono Unity kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Paris only managed five hits.

Tolono Unity's victory bumped their record up to 14-3. As for Paris, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season.

Tolono Unity will take on Teutopolis at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Paris, they will challenge Robinson at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
