Madison Camadine made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out eight over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two runs.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Halle Feldman, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last eight games she's played.
Meanwhile, after only two runs in their last game, Germantown made sure to put some runs up on the board against Watervliet on Wednesday. The Clippers skirted past the Cannoneers 10-9. With that victory, the Clippers brought their scoring average up to 6.4 runs per game.
Adele Heuer was incredible, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Keira Cavanaugh, who went 1-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Maple Hill's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-3. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Germantown, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-6 record.
Germantown's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Maple Hill hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .355. It's a different story for Germantown, though, as they've only averaged .220. Will they be able to contain Maple Hill's hitters?
Everything went Maple Hill's way against Germantown in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Maple Hill made off with a 17-0 victory. Do the Wildcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Clippers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
