Baseball Recap: Oroville Has No Trouble Against Waterville

Oroville hadn't done well against Waterville recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Hornets blew past the Shockers 11-2. The Hornets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by six runs or more this season.

Landon Howe was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and one run. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged two or more in each of the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Mason Wall, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Oroville kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Waterville only managed six hits.

Oroville's victory bumped their record up to 8-2-1. As for Waterville, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-7.

As of now, neither Oroville nor the Shockers have any future games scheduled.
