Softball Recap: Pitkin Gets the Win

While Pitkin didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-18), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Bunkie Panthers on Tuesday, sneaking past 6-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Tigers have posted since March 25, 2025.

Pitkin is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for Bunkie, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-12 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Pitkin will take on Anacoco on Thursday. As for Bunkie, they will head out to face off against Lafayette Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
