Basketball Recap: Owatonna Comes Up Short

Owatonna lost against John Marshall back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Owatonna Huskies fell to the John Marshall Rockets 62-56. While losing is never fun, the Huskies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 127th, while the Rockets are ranked 27th).

Owatonna has also been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 12 matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 13-13 record this season. As for John Marshall, they pushed their record up to 20-3 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road.

Coincidentally, Owatonna and John Marshall will both be playing Faribault the next time they take the court. John Marshall will host Faribault at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Owatonna will host them at 7:30 p.m. on February 25th.
