Softball Game Preview: Williston-Elko Blue Devils vs. North Eagles

The Williston-Elko Blue Devils will challenge the North Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

On Monday, Williston-Elko didn't have quite enough to beat Jefferson Davis Academy and fell 7-6.

The home team had won the previous four meetings between North and Hunter-Kinard-Tyler, and North kept the tradition alive. The Eagles put the hurt on the Trojans with a sharp 17-6 win on Monday. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Trojans: they've now won eight in a row.

North's win bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Williston-Elko, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-6.

Williston-Elko got the 'W' when the teams last played back in April of 2023 against North by a conclusive 15-0 score. Will the Blue Devils repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
