Softball Recap: Lennard Victorious

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Plant, Lennard was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They never let the Brandon Eagles get on the board and left with a 17-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Longhorns in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won eight in a row.

Hannah Rooks and Layla Leon did most of the damage at the plate: Rooks scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3, while Leon went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Kennedy McClain, who scored four runs and stole Two bases.

They weren't the only ones working in the hit department: Lennard kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in March of 2024.

Lennard now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Brandon, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lennard will take on East Bay at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Brandon, they will challenge Chamberlain at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
