Softball Recap: Cedaredge Bruins vs. Meeker Cowboys        
        
		
             Cedaredge's game  last Wednesday was a  loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them  on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Meeker Cowboys with a sharp  11-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Bruins, who have now won five contests by ten  runs or more  so far this season.
  Tia Homedew made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she  struck out nine batters over  five innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   five  hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in four consecutive pitching appearances. She was also big at the plate,  going 3-for-3 with two  runs, a  triple, and two  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Kiera Stroh was  incredible,  scoring a  run and  stealing two bases while going 3-for-4.  Jewel Laliberte was another key player,  going 1-for-3 with a  home run and three  RBI.
 Cedaredge is  on a roll lately: they've  won four of their last five matches,  which provided a massive bump to their 7-6 record  this season. As for Meeker,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 6-7.
 Cedaredge will have a chance to go back-to-back against Meeker: the pair will be back at it again later today.
