Baseball Game Preview: Centennial Titans vs. Braswell Bengals

The Centennial Titans will square off against the Braswell Bengals at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday. Centennial will be strutting in after a win while Braswell will be coming in after a loss.

On Monday, Centennial earned a 7-3 victory over Pottsboro. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Titans.

Ethan Vongvivitpatana looked comfortable as he pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in March of 2024.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Hayden O, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Nico Baltieri, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Braswell lost 9-2 to McKinney Boyd on Monday. The Bengals haven't had much luck with the Broncos recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Centennial's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Braswell, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Centennial came out on top in a nail-biter against Braswell when the teams last played back in February of 2024, sneaking past 3-2. Will Centennial repeat their success, or does Braswell have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
