Softball Recap: Beekmantown Comes Up Short

Beekmantown fell victim to Ticonderoga and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sentinels. The Eagles have struggled against the Sentinels recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Lillian Perry spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on three hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.

Beekmantown's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Ticonderoga, their victory was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-0.

Beekmantown didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 15-9 win against Chazy on the 5th. Ticonderoga has also already played their next contest (against Saranac Lake), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
