Softball Recap: Berrien Springs Comes Up Short

Berrien Springs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 11-5 to the Buchanan Bucks. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Shamrocks of the 18-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Jade Hoffman made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. Hayden Wagner was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Berrien Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Buchanan, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-5.

While Berrien Springs had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
