Softball Recap: Laconia Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Laconia had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They never let the North Fond du Lac Orioles get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. The Spartans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by seven runs or more this season.

Laconia's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for North Fond du Lac, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.

Laconia will head out on the road to face off against Campbellsport at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Spartans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cougars have averaged an impressive 8.4 runs per game this season. As for North Fond du Lac, they will host Omro at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Foxes have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.23 runs per game on average), something the Orioles will no doubt try to take advantage of.
