Basketball Recap: Bishop Reicher Catholic Comes Up Short

Bishop Reicher Catholic managed to keep up with Valor Preparatory Academy until halftime on Monday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Bishop Reicher Catholic Cougars came up short against the Valor Preparatory Academy Knights, falling 64-40. The Cougars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Valor Preparatory Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Duke G, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 boards. Maddox Meline was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on ten rebounds and nine steals.

Bishop Reicher Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Valor Preparatory Academy, the victory was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bishop Reicher Catholic will host Valor Preparatory Academy at 7:30 p.m. on February 3rd.
