Volleyball Recap: Douglas County Comes Up Short

Douglas County extended their losing streak to four on Thursday, dropping them down to 1-4. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Rockmart Yellowjackets. While the Tigers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Yellowjackets 25-18 in the first set.

As for Rockmart, their victory bumped their record up to 2-4. The win continues a trend for them in their matchups with Douglas County: they've now won four in a row.

Rockmart can attribute much of their success to Gracie Wilson, who had nine digs. Those nine digs gave Wilson a new career-high.

Douglas County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Cedartown on the 14th. As for Rockmart, they have also already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Haralson County on the 14th.
