Softball Recap: Hardin Northern Takes a Loss

If Hardin Northern was riding high fresh off their 14-4 takedown of Cory-Rawson on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Polar Bears took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ridgedale Rockets on Monday. The Polar Bears have struggled against the Rockets recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.

Hardin Northern saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Morgan Stewart, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Hardin Northern's defeat dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Ridgedale, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-4.

Coming up, Hardin Northern will welcome Ridgemont at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Polar Bears' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Golden Gophers have averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season. As for Ridgedale, they will head out to challenge North Baltimore at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Rockets surely won't give up without a fight.
