Bishop Alemany won the last time they faced Marymount and things went their way on Monday too. The Warriors put the hurt on the Sailors with a sharp 13-2 victory. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matches by six runs or more this season.
Kayla Toledo looked comfortable as she tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Naydeen Vallejo was incredible, going 2-for-4 with four runs, four RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in February of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Eva Contreras, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one double, and one RBI.
Bishop Alemany always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Marymount only posted an OBP of .286.
Bishop Alemany pushed their record up to 15-10 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Marymount, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.
Bishop Alemany will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Flintridge Sacred Heart at 4:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Warriors 4, the Tologs 3.4) so any runs scored will be well earned. Marymount does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
