There's no place like home for Columbia, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They blew past the Forrest County Agricultural Aggies 12-5 on Friday. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by seven runs or more this season.
MT Breland made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out six batters over 4.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in February. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3. Columbia is undefeated when Breland posts two or more runs, but 2-4 otherwise.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Collin Haney, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.
