Basketball Game Preview: Lincoln Cardinals vs. Franklin Quakers

The Lincoln Cardinals are taking a road trip to square off against the Franklin Quakers at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Both have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Lincoln and six for Franklin.

Last Tuesday, Lincoln had to suffer through a 86-52 loss at the hands of Grant. While losing is never fun, the Cardinals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 195th, while the Generals are ranked 18th).

Meanwhile, Franklin came up short against Jefferson on Tuesday, falling 77-54.

Franklin's loss dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Lincoln, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-15.

Everything came up roses for Lincoln against Franklin in their previous meeting back in January, as the squad secured an 84-42 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lincoln since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
