Basketball Recap: Galena Takes a Loss

Galena was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 60-58 heartbreaker at the hands of Hutchison. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against Hutchison this season, with their most recent defeat being a 51-32 loss on Friday.

Galena's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Hutchison, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-8 record this season.

Looking ahead, Galena will square off against Delta at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hutchison, they will take on Valdez at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Valdez knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 11 matchups -- so hopefully Hutchison likes a good challenge.
