Basketball Recap: Greenville Beats Easley for Their Fourth Straight Victory

Greenville waltzed into their match on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came out on top against the Easley Green Wave by a score of 50-42. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 46-39 back in January.

Greenville's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Miracle Cheeks, who went 7 for 13 on her way to 22 points and three steals. That's the most points Cheeks has posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Ava Owens, who posted ten points in addition to seven boards and six assists.

Greenville has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-9 record this season. As for Easley, they dropped their record down to 3-16 with the defeat, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.

Greenville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 56-35 win against Mauldin on the 4th. As for Easley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 40-31 loss against Woodmont on the 4th.
