Baseball Recap: South Fremont Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for South Fremont's offense. They lost 16-0 to the Sugar-Salem Diggers on Friday. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since May 3, 2024, but that streak is no more.

South Fremont saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tayson Farley, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

South Fremont's loss dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Sugar-Salem, they pushed their record up to 13-4 with the victory, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, South Fremont will square off against Filer at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Cougars are facing the Wildcats at the right time seeing as the Wildcats are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Sugar-Salem, they will head out to take on Teton at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
