Basketball Recap: Rochelle Comes Up Short

Rochelle lost against Ottawa back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Rochelle Hubs came up short against the Ottawa Pirates, falling 57-37. While losing is never fun, the Hubs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 369th, while the Pirates are ranked 69th).

This is the second loss in a row for Rochelle and nudges their season record down to 8-21. As for Ottawa, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 21-7.

Rochelle does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Ottawa, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Streator at 6:45 p.m. The timing is sure in Ottawa's favor as the team sits on six straight wins at home while Streator has been banged up by 12 consecutive losses on the road.
