North Summit was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They came up short against the Grand County Red Devils, falling 17-4. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last three times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

North Summit saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Braxton Lefler, who went 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple marked the first that Lefler hit this season. Traxton Olsen was another, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

North Summit's loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Grand County, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-9.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. North Summit is set to challenge their familiar foe North Sevier at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Grand County will face off against rival San Juan at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Grand County has won three straight at home, while San Juan won four straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
