Football Recap: Middleton Tigers vs. Hillsborough Terriers

Middleton extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 1-3. They took a blow against the Hillsborough Terriers, falling 35-0. The Tigers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Terriers from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Leading Hillsborough to victory were Tariq Johnson and Derrell Hines. Johnson rushed for 179 yards and three scores while picking up 9.9 yards per carry, while Hines gained 125 total yards and two touchdowns. Those 179 rushing yards gave Johnson a new career-high. Earl Garcia IV helped out on the ground, rushing for 83 yards.

Looking ahead, Middleton will face off against Alonso at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Hillsborough, they will take on Armwood at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Hawks' defense has only allowed 11 points per game this season, so the Terriers' offense will have their work cut out for them.
