Basketball Game Preview: Sullivan Golden Arrows vs. Parke Heritage Wolves

The Sullivan Golden Arrows will be taking part in a tournament against the Parke Heritage Wolves at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. Sullivan is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50 points per game this season.

Last Saturday, Sullivan was able to grind out a solid win over Casey-Westfield, taking the game 48-38. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Golden Arrows.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Sullivan to victory, but perhaps none more so than Cooper Bock, who went 7 for 11 on his way to 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Paul Ridgway, who went 6 of 12 en route to 17 points and five rebounds.

Meanwhile, Parke Heritage beat Edgewood 60-49 on Saturday. Given the Wolves' advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 17th, while the Mustangs are ranked 128th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Sullivan better keep an eye on Isaac Pickel. He was instrumental in Parke Heritage's win, dropping a double-double on 18 points and 15 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Carter Crum, who went 6 of 9 on his way to 13 points and five rebounds.

Parke Heritage smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in five consecutive games.

Sullivan's record now sits at 6-3. As for Parke Heritage, their record now sits at 8-1.

Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Sullivan has crashing the boards this season, having averaged 28.8 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Parke Heritage struggles in that department as they've been averaging 26 boards.
