Basketball Game Preview: Sheridan Broncs vs. East Thunderbirds

The Sheridan Broncs will head out on the road to face off against the East Thunderbirds at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Sheridan is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Wyoming's top teams: Thunder Basin, who was ranked ninth at the time (Sheridan was ranked fourth). Sheridan took down Thunder Basin 66-50 on Saturday.

Meanwhile, East didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Laramie on Friday, but they still walked away with a 68-64 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Thunderbirds.

Sheridan's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.8 points per game. As for East, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 9-8 record this season.

Sheridan strolled past East when the teams last played back in January by a score of 62-47. The rematch might be a little tougher for Sheridan since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
