Hidalgo has gone a perfect 10-0 against La Feria recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Hidalgo Pirates will challenge the La Feria Lions at 6:00 p.m. Hidalgo's pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so La Feria's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Hidalgo had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the seven-run drubbing they dealt Grulla on Tuesday. Hidalgo never let Grulla get on the board and left with a 7-0 win. The Pirates not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since February 24th.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when La Feria faced off against Valley View on Friday. La Feria lost 8-2 to Valley View. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Lions couldn't push the score so high this time.

La Feria saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Conrad Flores, who scored a run while going 2-for-4. That's the most hits Flores has posted since back in April of 2024.

Hidalgo is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-5-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. La Feria's loss dropped their record down to 5-3.

Hidalgo took their victory against La Feria in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 7-0. Will Hidalgo repeat their success, or does La Feria have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
