Football Game Preview: Dickson Comets vs. Crossings Christian Knights

The Dickson Comets will challenge the Crossings Christian Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Dickson will be strutting in after a win while Crossings Christian will be coming in after a defeat.

Dickson will bounce into Friday's contest after beating Lexington, who they had gone 0-3 against in their three prior meetings. The Comets came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 21-14 on Thursday. The score was all tied up 14-14 at the break, but the Comets were the (much) better team in the second half.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Crossings Christian's offense. They were outmatched by Washington and fell 49-0. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma football rankings (they are ranked 164th, while the Warriors are ranked 39th).

Dickson's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Crossings Christian, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Dickson took a serious blow against Crossings Christian in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, falling 41-0. Thankfully for the Comets, Bennett Baker (who rushed for 67 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only six carries, and also threw for 129 yards and two TDs while completing 87.5% of his passes) won't be suiting up this time.
