Basketball Recap: Triton Central Wins Going Away Against Yorktown

Triton Central picked up another tournament win on Saturday. They took down the Yorktown Tigers 57-38.

Silas Blair continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 11 of 14 on his way to 24 points and seven rebounds. The game was his third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Eli Sego, who went 6 of 10 on his way to 14 points and seven rebounds.

Triton Central was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2023.

Yorktown's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Mason Trammell, who posted 12 points, and Austin Kates, who had ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Evan Manor, who put up five points.

Triton Central now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Yorktown, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.

Triton Central and Yorktown could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings. Triton Central (ranked 181st) will meet Roncalli (ranked 25th) at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Similarly, Yorktown (ranked 199th) will meet Anderson (ranked 34th) at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
