Baseball Recap: Churchill Comes Up Short

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Churchill's offense. They lost 6-0 to the Lake Braddock Bruins on Tuesday. The Bulldogs just can't catch a break and have now endured six losses in a row.

Owen Singer was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out six batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits.

Churchill's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Lake Braddock, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-5.

Coincidentally, Churchill and Lake Braddock will both be playing Hayfield the next time they take the field. The Bulldogs will head out to face the Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Bruins will head out to face them at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
