Basketball Recap: Unity Christian Lions vs. North Georgia Christian Academy Knights
The Unity Christian Lions can now show off ten landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Friday. They claimed a resounding 66-38 victory over North Georgia Christian Academy at home. Unity Christian's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Gabriela Creel was nothing short of spectacular: she scored 19 points along with six rebounds and five steals. It was the first time this season that she scored 15 or more points. Camryn King was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with four steals.
Unity Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season. As for North Georgia Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-3.
Unity Christian has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome the Lions at 3:30 p.m. on February 8th. Praise Academy has now lost 18 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 10. As for North Georgia Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against the Lions at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mountain Area Christian Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 538th, while the Knights are ranked 241st).
