Recap: Massena Raiders vs. Gouverneur Wildcats
In what's become a running theme this season, the Massena Raiders gave their fans yet another huge win on Monday. They blew past Gouverneur 61-32 at home. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Massena has posted yet this season.
Leading Massena to victory were Taylor Mitchell and Colin Patterson. Mitchell scored 18 points along with six steals, while Patterson scored 21 points along with nine rebounds and three blocks. Another player making a difference was Brandon Barnes, who scored five points.
Massena pushed their record up to 7-3 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.6 points per game. As for Gouverneur, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-6.
Coincidentally, Massena and Gouverneur will both be playing Potsdam the next time they take the court. Massena will host Potsdam at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Gouverneur will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
