Wilde Lake came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.5 points), and they left with even more momentum. They came within four points of losing the streak, but they secured a 59-55 W against the Atholton Raiders. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 67-64 back in December of 2024.

Wilde Lake's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Devin Wingfield led the charge by putting up 12 points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals. Another player making a difference was Dre Hoskins, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and 12 boards.

Atholton's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cameron Lyons, who posted 18 points. Lyons has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Ian Pope Jr was another key player, earning eight points along with four steals and four blocks.

Wilde Lake pushed their record up to 15-4 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Atholton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-8.

Wilde Lake wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 96-68 victory against Hammond on the 19th. As for Atholton, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 70-67 defeat against Howard on the 20th.
