Basketball Game Preview: Providence Athletic Club Panthers vs. Wardlaw Academy Patriots

The Providence Athletic Club Panthers will take on the Wardlaw Academy Patriots at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Wardlaw Academy took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Providence Athletic Club, who comes in off a win.

Providence Athletic Club is headed into the contest having just posted their biggest win since January 13th last Friday. They put the hurt on Easley HomeSchool with a sharp 45-20 victory. With the Panthers ahead 32-8 at the half, the match was all but over already.

Morgan Huckaby had an outrageously good game as she went 6 of 9 en route to 15 points along with four steals and three blocks. She has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last six times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Anabel Catone, who posted 13 points.

Meanwhile, Wardlaw Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 47-12 loss at the hands of Great Falls. The game marked the Patriots' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Wardlaw Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Providence Athletic Club, the win got them back to even at 6-6.

Providence Athletic Club was able to grind out a solid victory over Wardlaw Academy in their previous matchup two weeks ago, winning 42-31. Does Providence Athletic Club have another victory up their sleeve, or will Wardlaw Academy turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
