Basketball Recap: Laconia Comes Up Short

After flying high against Omro last Tuesday, Laconia came back down to earth. The Laconia Spartans lost 71-45 to the St. Mary's Springs Ledgers on Friday. The matchup marked the Spartans' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Laconia's loss dropped their record down to 18-4. As for St. Mary's Springs, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season.

Laconia will square off against Lourdes at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. As for St. Mary's Springs, they will take on Winnebago Lutheran Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
