Softball Recap: Erie-Mason Eagles vs. Summerfield Bulldogs

Erie-Mason had lost three straight on the road, but on Wednesday they dropped their record down to 5-6 to make it four. They fell just short of the Summerfield Bulldogs by a score of 10-9. If the Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 7-6 to the Bulldogs when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Jayanna Willets and Zoie Stubleski did some serious damage despite the final result: Willets went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI, while Stubleski went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.

As for Summerfield, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 7-5 record. Considering their hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

The team also got some help courtesy of Makenzie Wolfe, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Erie-Mason has already played their next match (against Hillsdale), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Summerfield, they have also already played their next game, a 15-0 loss against St. Mary Catholic Central on the 17th.
