Mt. Olive has gone a perfect 3-0 against Metro-East Lutheran recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Mt. Olive Wildcats will square off against the Metro-East Lutheran Knights at 7:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Mt. Olive is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Litchfield on Wednesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Mt. Olive took a blow against Litchfield, falling 59-26. The Wildcats were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-12.

Meanwhile, Metro-East Lutheran was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 40-37 heartbreaker at the hands of Bunker Hill. One positive for the Knights, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

This is the second loss in a row for Mt. Olive and nudges their season record down to 10-13. As for Metro-East Lutheran, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-26.

Mt. Olive took their win against Metro-East Lutheran in their previous meeting back in January of 2017 by a conclusive 64-43. The rematch might be a little tougher for Mt. Olive since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
