Volleyball Recap: Washougal Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Washougal was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Ridgefield Spudders. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Spudders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-15, 19-25, 25-22.

Ainsley Prynne paced Washougal's offense, picking up seven kills. Prynne got some help from Madeline Cooley and her ten assists. Finally, Ella Gustafson kept Washougal's defense grounded, leading the team with five blocks.

Washougal's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Ridgefield, their victory was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-4-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Washougal will square off against rival R.A. Long at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Ridgefield is set to face off against their familiar foe Columbia River at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
