Baseball Recap: Cascade Christian Takes a Loss

Cascade Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the Seattle Christian Warriors. The Cougars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Cascade Christian saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tyler Neeley, who went 1-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Ben Dewey was another, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with one double and one RBI.

Cascade Christian's record now sits at 2-7. As for Seattle Christian, their record is now 4-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cascade Christian will face off against Orting at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Cardinals' pitching crew has only allowed 2.7 runs per game this season, so the Cougars' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Seattle Christian, they will take on Archbishop Murphy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
