Football Game Preview: Marshalltown Bobcats vs. Waukee Warriors

The Marshalltown Bobcats will venture away from home to take on the Waukee Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Marshalltown has given up an average of 30.4 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Marshalltown came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They had to suffer through a 49-0 loss at the hands of Kennedy. The game marked the first time this season in which the Bobcats were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, while it was Waukee who put the first points on the board on Friday, it was Dallas Center-Grimes who put up more. The Warriors were just a hair shy of victory and fell 29-28 to the Mustangs. The contest was a 7-7 toss-up at halftime, but the Warriors couldn't quite close it out.

This is the second loss in a row for Waukee and nudges their season record down to 1-4. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 29.5 points over those games. As for Marshalltown, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

Marshalltown was dealt a bruising 41-14 loss at the hands of Waukee in their previous matchup back in September of 2015. Can the Bobcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
