Softball Recap: Dearborn Comes Up Short

Dearborn dropped down to 8-16-1 on Wednesday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They lost 15-0 to the Franklin Patriots. If the Pioneers were looking for revenge after losing 8-6 to the Patriots when the teams met back in May of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Franklin, their win bumped their record up to 23-5. The result was nothing new for the Patriots, who have now won 18 contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

For Franklin's part, they got a massive performance out of Savana Mullin, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That home run marked the first that Mullin has launched this season. Sarah Schniers was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.

While Dearborn had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
