Belfry dropped their record down to 12-8 on Wednesday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins. They lost 14-0 to the Perry County Central Commodores. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Pirates were not able to get on the board.

As for Perry County Central, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 15-8. Considering they have won 13 contests by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

For Perry County Central's part, Alyssa Dixon was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. Dixon has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Taylan Hoskins, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

Coming up, Belfry will challenge Shelby Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Perry County Central, they will square off against Bracken County at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
