Basketball Recap: Greenville Comes Up Short

Greenville lost against Yazoo City back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Greenville Hornets were beaten by the Yazoo City Indians 80-52. The Hornets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Greenville still got an impressive performance from De'Marion Gibson, who went 9 of 17 en route to 26 points and six rebounds. The dominant performance gave Gibson a new career-high in boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Marcus Peoples, who posted five points and three blocks.

Greenville now has a losing record at 12-13. As for Yazoo City, their victory bumped their record up to 17-12.

As of now, neither Greenville nor Yazoo City have any future games scheduled.
