Basketball Recap: Julia Bonbrake's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Mount De Sales Academy over Tattnall Square Academy

Mount de Sales Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 41-34 to the Tattnall Square Academy Trojans. The Cavaliers were not able to make up for their loss to the Trojans from their previous meeting back in February of 2024.

Mount de Sales Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Julia Bonbrake, who posted 11 points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Payton Latimer, who had seven points.

Mount de Sales Academy's record now sits at 8-8. As for Tattnall Square Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mount de Sales Academy will take on Stratford Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Tattnall Square Academy, they will face off against First Presbyterian Day at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
