            Baseball Recap: Brandywine Heights Area Bullets vs. Antietam Mountaineers        
        
		
        
        
            Brandywine Heights Area's game  on Monday was a  loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them  on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out the Antietam Mountaineers  6-4. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bullets also won the last time the pair played  back in April of 2024.

 Matthew Sterner was a  major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  hit and  allowing only  one  earned run while striking out nine over 4.2 innings pitched. That's the most  strikeouts  he has posted since back in April of 2024. He was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 2-for-4 with two  stolen bases, two  RBI,  and one  run. Those  stolen bases were  his first of the season.
 Sterner wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Ethan Bollinger, who  went 3-for-4 with two  runs and one  double. That's the most  hits  Bollinger has posted since back in March of 2024.  Aiden Nace also deserves some recognition as  he  brought in his first  RBI of the season.
With the  victory, Brandywine Heights Area broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-7. As for Antietam,  they are  on  a  seven-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 1-9.
 Looking ahead, Brandywine Heights Area will challenge Pequea Valley at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday. As for Antietam, they have already played their next contest,  a  9-3  defeat against High Point Baptist Academy on the 17th.
