Eagle Rock is 9-1 against Marshall since May of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Eagles will be playing at home against the Barristers at 3:00 p.m. Eagle Rock is coming into the match hot, having won their last nine games.
Eagle Rock proved they can win big last Wednesday (they won by 13) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Bravo 6-5.

Marcella Terrazas made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up five earned runs off six hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 11 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one double and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Melissa Terrazas, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Peyton Oviedo, who earned one run and three stolen bases.
Eagle Rock kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 14 runs the game before, Marshall was a bit more limited in their game on Wednesday. They lost 8-1 to Franklin. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
Marshall saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gianna Saucedo, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
Eagle Rock pushed their record up to 10-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 4.75 runs across that stretch. As for Marshall, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season.
Marshall's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Thursday. Eagle Rock has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.3 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Marshall, though, as they've been averaging only 3.8 strikeouts. Will Eagle Rock keep running through batters, or will the Barristers buck the trend?
Eagle Rock was able to grind out a solid victory over Marshall in their previous matchup back in April, winning 4-0. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Barristers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
