Softball Recap: Bruceville-Eddy Comes Up Short

Bruceville-Eddy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 15-2 to the Moody Bearcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bearcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-5 back in March.

Bruceville-Eddy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Abby Reese, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double. That double marked the first that Reese hit this season.

Bruceville-Eddy's loss dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Moody, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-7-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Bruceville-Eddy is set to challenge their familiar foe Jonesboro at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Moody will face off against rival Valley Mills at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
